Our Vision

Nehemiah Project 38008 (NP3) was established in 2017 to address and help overcome significant barriers to employment for the citizens of the greater Bolivar, Tennessee, area.

The vision of NP3 is to help people with significant barriers to employment manage or overcome those barriers as they begin fulfilling careers .

NP3 will work with each participant to identify those barrier(s) to employment, connect them to the support they may need, and walk with them as they navigate through their job search.

Barriers my be related to health, mental health, disabilities, felony charge on record, lack of training or education, affordable child care, reliable transportation, gaps in work history, and so on. Regardless of a person's history, we want to help them move ahead successfully.

Our ultimate goal as we address these specific needs is employment for each participant that provides a living wage and a pathway to a satisfying career.

Whether on site or at partner locations, the participant will receive acceptance, respect, counseling, training, advocacy, encouragement, and so much more as they move through the program. We will do our best to either provide or locate the resources that are needed. This will not be a one-size-fits-all type of program. It will be personalized to each individual.

Our hope is {re}building a community in which every person who lives in the area who wants to work shall be able to attain the necessary soft and hard skills to do so, as well as have the advocacy to obtain and retain valuable work.

  • DREAM BIG: We believe in the right of residents of the greater Bolivar, Tennessee, region to dream big and have community support to achieve those dreams

  • EQUIP WELL: We believe in not giving a handout, but in giving many hands up.

  • EXTEND A HAND: We believe that while past regrettable choices may have had significant consequences upon present employment opportunities, we are a community of second chances.

  • SUPPORT FROM WITHIN: We believe that, as in the Book of Nehemiah, if you are willing to work, then we are a community who will come alongside you and work with you to build or rebuild your life and create multiple opportunities.
